But the place is not welcoming the visitors with the best manners and soon the group will face its very tragic fate.

Agent Rizolli will be linked with the case not only due to the insistence of Father Brophy but also because Maura Isles was part of that missed group.

A megalomaniac sect leader called himself and acclaimed as 'The Prophet', the local police, a missed boy and many other elements compose a fascinating plot that grabs the reader with no chance of a break.

Tess Gerritsen has a special touch when describing critical conditions on bodies, autopsies and moods and it is obvious due to her experience on ER but she knows the way to narrate the clinical frames leaving aside all the complicated jargon and giving to the reader a cristaline and vivid picture.

Keep an eye on: besides the clear descriptions mentioned above, worth to mention the well balanced role of the characters what makes the story flow nimbly.

Tess Gerritsen, along with Beverly Connor, are my favourite pair of forensic-crime writers those that I would recommend to everybody interested in this very specific genre.
